I would like to share a story which i had read .The writer goes on like this. It was a cold December day in New York City .A little boy stood in front of a shoe store
on the broad way, bare foot ,and shivering ,peering intently through the window ,a lady approached the young boy and asked ,”my dear little friend ,why are you
looking into that window earnestly?” The answer was really unexpected, “I was asking god to give me a pair of shoes”. The lady astonished ,after a few seconds of
pondering took him by the hand, went in to store and asked the shop keeper to get a half dozen pairs of socks and a pair of shoes for the boy. Then she asked for a
basin of water and a towel. The shop keeper brought them quickly. the woman took the little boy and began to wash his feet. She dried them with the towel while
the shop keeper returned with the socks. The woman placed a pair of socks, on the boys feet and helped him put on his shoes. She bundled the remaining socks, and
handed him the package. As she turned to go, the astonished child caught her by the hand and looking up in to her face with tears in his eyes, asked her “Are you
god’s wife?” What has it taught us, Mercy is not a sign of weakness or surrender but the strong, magnanimous radiation of loving omnipotence of the father, who heals our
weakness, raises us from our falls and urges us to do good.
